This family has taken pictures every year since the kids were little. I love it when families make sure to get regularly updated professional family photos. A lesson many of us can learn from, myself included. Every year this family went to the basement of the same big-chain studio. Finally they realized that there is a whole new world of photography out there that they would like to explore. Presenting their first ever on-location session with a small boutique photography business.
10- Because this year for Christmas, you don’t want to send out another cheesy picture with forced smiles on your Christmas cards.
9- Young children won’t remember everything about when they were young. Capture your family having fun to help them remember as they grow up.
8- The only pictures your out-of-state relatives have seen of your family are on facebook when you all celebrated Jenny’s birthday at the Mexican restaurant. Yes, professional pictures may be expensive, but doesn’t grandma deserve to have a stunning portrait of your family to display in her home?
7- You may have been nervous about being in front of the camera! Don’t be! Family portraits with Criativo Photography is all about playing and interacting with your family. I’m just capturing the things you do together anyway.
6- Family portraits can be as creative and unique as your family! No need to have everyone sit in a chair and say cheese. We will plan the location and activity around the needs and desires of your family.
5- On those hard days, you will always have these pictures to look back on. Family portraits somehow seem to tell the truth. They accentuate the bond that family members share. When you’re having a tough day and your kids are getting on your nerves, you can look at that portrait on your wall and remember how much you love your family!
4- It’s fall and the leaves are changing colors. Capture Washington’s beauty this fall!
3- If you don’t make the time now, when will you? How many times have you put off professional photos and later realized that you should have done it long ago?
2- Your family will never again be who they are today! Each day brings new change. Faces change, hair becomes gray, they start junior high, they graduate college, they’re getting married, and the list goes on. Capture your family as they are right now!
1- And if you’re still not convinced now is the right time, read Spanki Mills’ post about how grateful she was for the family portraits they had done: http://www.spankimillsphotography.com/blog/if-i-could-turn-back-time/. Also read Deb’s post about doing family pictures now because you have no idea what the future may bring: http://www.debsphotographs.com/photoblog/2010/05/is-there-a-perfect-time/. Sobering, but completely true.
Family and Friends~ Now is a great time to book pictures for your family, children, or senior for a fraction of the cost. These sessions are quick and fun and will take place at the amazing Luther Burbank Park. All of the images you see above were taken there! There is tons of variety, so not every picture will look the same.
Bonus: Bring a bag of non-perishable groceries which will be donated to our local food bank, and recieve 10% off your order at your ordering appointment!
Aren’t these pictures awesome? People usually say that it is hard to photograph your family members and last year I would have agreed. When I shot my in-laws and their children last year, it was over 90 degrees (something us Seattlelites are not used to) and everyone was cranky. We had to change location plans a couple of times. We got a couple of pictures out of the whole ordeal, but this year was a whole different story!
I’m thinking that the combination of the kids being a year older, them being used to their aunt taking pictures of them all the time, and the relaxed atmosphere (it was a bonfire with Auntie Dani and she just happened to be taking pictures) made all the difference in the world! This year taking their pictures was a breeze and tons of fun! We should make s’mores at all my sessions. ( ;
Check out the awesome canvas collection of the them in my new viewing room!
